Newspapers have been online for a while now but with the wide spread decline of readers, these businesses are finding creative new ways to stay alive online. Based on a recent interview for a paper I learned of the ways a local paper can use global online companies to sell more advertising to local businesses. By working with say Yahoo a paper can sell advertising to local businesses that will offer global exposure. This might be a saving grace for small companies trying to stay a float in today's economy! There are many aspect a company can utilize this ability. They can search the world for qualified employees using the connection between the classified ads and hotjobs for example.
